ECOPERLA OXYTOWER OPERATION
The removal of iron and manganese from the water takes place inside the Ecoperla Oxytower tank. Water first passes the aeration process in a specially designed compressed air chamber. It is then directed to 75 liters of the filter bed, where contaminants are retained. The filter bed is an excellent quality material. It doesn’t require chemicals for regeneration. It is enough to regenerate with backwash water. The advantage is long working time in a wide temperature range and small amounts of water used for rinsing. In the treatment process not only exceedances of iron and manganese are removed, but also some concentrations of hydrogen sulphide responsible for the unpleasant odor of water. It should be emphasized that Ecoperla Oxytower requires appropriate working conditions – for example water with the right pH.
